Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), formerly known with term “Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program. It is an economic immigration program under which the Government of Alberts nominates people for permanent residence in Alberta.
After nomination, the federal government will final decision on nominated applications.
There are about eight optional streams under which the interested candidates apply. Like as
Those candidates who are temporary foreign workers and already working full-time in Alberta with full time job offer from an Alberta Employer in an eligible occupation (For Ineligible Occupation List) are eligible to apply.
In some cases, candidate must have positive Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) OR hold one of the accepted LMIA exemption work permit.
There are other minimum eligibility criteria which the candidates should meet. Likewise
Government of Alberta reserve the rights to nominate limited number of qualified candidates from Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada’s Express Entry System.
Candidates may be selected for the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program, (previously know with name “Alberta Immigration Nominee Program” AINP), if they have strong ties to Alberta. In addition, candidates contribute government’s economic development and diversification priorities may be asked to apply.
International graduates from Canadian post-secondary institutions may also be asked to apply under this stream.
If eligible candidates working for, or have a job offer with, an Alberta-based tech industry employer in an eligible tech occupation, they may be selected expedite processing under Alberta Express Entry Stream.
Candidate must have an Express Entry (EE) Profile with the Federal Government of Canada to be eligible under Accelerated Tech Pathway.

Candidates if they meet assessment criteria and apply. They complete application go into a pool of eligible consideration.
To support local economic development needs and contribute to the growth of community with the support of community drive approach, the Rural Renewal Stream support the attraction and holding of newcomers to come and settle in rural area of Alberta. It will empower rural communities to recruit and retain foreign national to live, work and settle in their communities.
This program is significantly designed to address current labor needs and skill shortage in rural Alberta communities and helps newcomers settle into the community. Under this stream the designated community required to apply to the Alberta Government for designation.
Under this program the candidate must be supported by a designated community and meet all criteria for the Rural Renewal Stream.
What is Community Designation?
Designation awarded by the Government of Alberta as per the strength and population of any rural community which applied for the designation. Additional points may be awarded for the community below the population of 10,000 residents.
Requirements of Community Designation
o Must apply – in the same economic region.
o Last census 2016 will be consider as a reference of population count.
o Community must fall outside of Calgary and Edmonton census metropolitan.

Your Alberta employer must ne incorporated, or registered by or under, an act of the legislature of a province, territory, or the Parliament of Canada and operating as a business that has an established production capability, plant, or place of business in Alberta.
Job Offer must be signed and must offer
All the time (submission and assessment) you must have a job offer in an eligible occupation. Most occupations under National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill levels 0, A, B, C and D are eligible under the AAIP.
